How To Upgrade BSU (bea smart update) tool From 3.2 Version to 3.3 Version ?

Summary

1. Check Current version of BSU Utility 
2. Download patch 12426828 from My Oracle Support to a system with internet access
3. Extract the downloaded ZIP file to a directory. The ZIP file contains a standalone installer for Smart Update 3.3.0.
4. Installation of BSU 3.3
5. Check BSU version after installation.

****************STARTING INSTALLATION****************

1. Check Current version of BSU Utility

     cd $MW_HOME/utils/bsu
    ./bsu.sh -version

2. Download patch 12426828 from My Oracle Support to a system with internet access

• Login to my oracle support : http://support.oracle.com
• Click on "Patches And Updates"
• Enter the Patch number 12426828 against the field "Patch Name OR Number"
• Click on Search
• Click on Patch Name 12426828 and click on Download

3. Extract the downloaded ZIP file to a directory. The ZIP file contains a standalone installer for Smart Update 3.3.0.

• unzip the file p12426828_1035_Generic.zip

4. Installation of BSU 3.3

• Source the enviroment

          cd $DOMAIN_HOME/bin
          . ./setDomainEnv.sh

• Launch the installation program by entering the following command

          java -jar patch-client-installer330_generic32.jar

     Note: For Getting GUI You Need To Set X Forwarding by Following Below Link

• Welcome Screen will appear ==> Click on Next

• Provide MW_HOME location==>Click on Next

• Chose Installation Type "Typical"  ==> Click on Next

• Installation Complete ==>Click on Done

5. Check BSU version after installation using below command 

    ./bsu.sh -version
